I understand what jen's point is...and to be honest, it is "interesting" to know what celebs make...or anyone in the public eye...but not something I myself would ever ask them.
As for me...I make about $60,000.00 in a good year...thank God Jim make's almost double that or we'd be in the streets!

(remember, we live in Fairfield County, Ct.

Salary you mean I get paid for working, damn I need to talk to my boss about that lol
What's the honest point of me getting paid anyway, my health insurance went up 40 percent this year and the cost of living went up 10, company wide we only got 1.5 percent raises so that equates to my ass is broke every single month.

It's interesting that some people care and don't care about whether other people know what they make. I handle the server and security end of our payroll system, so I see all of the numbers that go by. A couple of people have found this out and while most don't care, a couple have nearly had heart attacks that I would know what they make. (I so don't care. I have far more interesting things to think about during the day). But to each their own, some find it noteworthy, some don't. Between hubby's full time, my full time, and my two businesses, we pull in upper 100, but with near lack of free time we have during parts of the year, it really isn't worth it sometimes. Life really isn't about what you make, it's about what you make it. Now I need to remember that myself

At several times in my life, my salary was a matter of public record.
In the fall of 1983 I was a Marine Lance Corporal making less than $800 a month no matter how many hours I worked, and I had to pay for my own uniforms. While my friends were getting ready to go out on New Years Eve, I was standing in the snow in a line of Marines firing three volleys over the grave of a fallen Brother.
In 1998 I made $30,060 dollars for 2,920 hours as a paramedic.
In order to pay rent and buy food while paying off the debts that TXME racked up, I had to work about 1000 hours for a private ambulance company and teach two EMT classes.
When I got the chance to get away from those jobs and see the Coral Reefer Band in concert, I didn't care what they made - they were worth every cent.

Being in Human Resources I also am privy to salary information and understand the confidentially that goes along with the job.
Dave and I make a good living....live w/i our means, have a modest mtg, and support the american auto industry, but after taxes, insurance et al we are not rolling in the dough!
At least we have enuf to see the Reefers every year!!!

Hey, I'm just a nosey b*tch, but I'm nosey about nearly everything.
I'm not sure if that makes me a good person or a bad person. I don't go
around asking people about things they might consider "sensitive", and
I'd never insist anyone owed me the information, even if I'm indirectly
responsible for their income. Anyway, I guess I'm just a "data-phile".
As for my salary, being unemployed with no retirement benefits, a fair
guess would be ZER
! But if I was working, the "what you're worth"
data-finder at Monster.com says it'd be about $80-90k.
