Dana Reeve announces she has Lung Cancer

Dana Reeve, the widow of Christopher Reeve has announced that she is in treatment for lung cancer. Apparently the National Enquirer was about to break the story, leading Dana to make the announcement herself.

I hate cancer as much as the next person, but why does everything with anybody who is relatively known have to be announced in some form of media. The way these people act, you'd think it was their grandmother
