New info and research can be brought into the picture to make all of those topics fresh
1. I personally don't care about this. I have all the CDs already, reissuing them with original album art and liner notes isn't going to make me run out and buy them again. It's about the music, not the artwork on the cover or the liner notes inside.
2. That's between Jimmy and Fingers. If either one of them wanted it to be public, it would be. Unless and until they tell us, it remains a mystery to us. And anyone who's upset about that will have to get over it.
3. For anyone who thinks they have a right to know this information, I have a suggestion. Most, if not all, of the Reefers do solo work and they're pretty fan-friendly. Go to one of their shows. Ask them what they make. When they tell you it's none of your business will you finally realize it's none of your business?

I'm sorry, but no amount of information and research about personal information that nobody here has any right to know can be brought into the picture to make that topic fresh.

You left out how poorly the albums were mastered to start with, particularly You Had To Be There.

I agree but feeling that way isn't going to make the topic of "Fingers" departure from the Reefers' magically disappear. It might not do any good but that's why I suggested a FAQ for questions such as this.

Their respective salaries are of no interest to me but how do you know one of the Reefers would tell one of their fans' "it's none of their business"? The fact of the matter is, at least according to one of the posts in the salary threads, one of them apparently did divulge how much they make. If someone wants to ask that question of one of the Reefers or in this forum, that should be up to the respective parties to decide, not any of us.

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to restrict sarcasm and / or humor on a discussion board. However when you are using it, please consider if what you find funny might be hurtful to others. And if there is that possibility, please don't say it.

I stand by my convictions that the mods here try to remain impartial. As it turns out, most everyone who we talk to thinks we are biased against them.

Instead of mocking what other people say, maybe we should read it, attempt to understand it, and agree to disagree without rehashing the same argument over and over.

Personally, I think that since the mods don't get paid (I think? maybe I'm wrong?) and they're spending their own time overseeing the board for Jim, I give them credit (oh go ahead, I'm sure someone will call me a butt kisser, whatever). In reality, this is a free discussion board. That's the word, free. Even for those who make a donation, it is still that, a donation, not a membership.

Therefore, in my own little opinion, if I don't like the way a particular thread is heading, I just don't read it. I go over to the msc or oh and chit chat for a bit. This really should not be such a big deal.

Well not "everyone". Like Larry, I could really care less. I don't even know where half of my CD cases are. The half that I do have, either don't have the correct CD in them or don't have a CD at all. Liner notes were great for vinyl records, because you HAD to keep the jacket/case if you ever wanted to listen to the record more than once.

How many people want to pull out a microscope so they can see the detailed artwork on something that was supposed to be much larger to begin with?

Instead of petitioning for a re-release of the albums, you'd have better luck getting permission to reprint the original work in books.

BTW, do you think Jim could set up www.cheeseandpienews.com ?

That could actually be an interesting coffee table book. I'd much rather see something like that. I can't remember the last time I actually bought a cd, but I'd buy that.

Wouldn't that depend too, on what State they reside in as well as on what day they have to "moderate"? :-?

So again, more than a Fry Cook at McDonalds, less than Warren Buffett... and they probably get a complete set of original artwork and liner notes from PHJim's unreleased, "Jim sings Jimmy"?

Of course I'm just part of the "moderator clicque" but if ya have a problem, notify a moderator. If ya have a problem w/ the moderating on this board, notify PHJIM. If you don't get a reply, then maybe he doesn't agree with you. Move on.

It was an honest question, R2. Maybe I was looking at the wrong thread, but I don't recall seeing an responses by a Reefer in any of them. I do have to read a whole lot of threads though, so maybe I missed it.

Maybe he is referring to Stizz's post? However I can't believe Amy Lee would ever tell him. I know my fiancee has no idea how much money I make; that way she can't go out and spend it. 8)

That's what I figured...but that was not a Reefer disclosing their salary. That was someone who is "in the know" trying to give a ballpark answer...that apparently wasn't good enough for some.
