there is a benefit concert on the east end of long island again.. now they are saying the mick jones of foriegner and garland jefferies are playing.. not bad but i'm not sure $100 and 75 miles is worth it..(especially in nicoles condition)...now the kicker.. the radio station is saying a very special gueat who lives on the east end will be a very special guest..now.. jimmy just played at one a few weeks ago..(it was awesome).. what are the odds of it being him again..or even billy joel...is it worth the trip???

I don't know...I'd wait to see if you can get more info. The other artists (including Billy Joel) aren't enough of a draw for me. 75 miles is bad enough, but we're talkin' the trip to the Hamptons...this is the trip from hell in the summer...my dad has a house in Southampton, on the bay, and we still prefer to rent down the shore to avoid that drive. $100 for a benefit concert isn't that bad, pricewise, but the other factors would be a turn off for me.

Only you can decide...what's the date? How much time do you have? Is it likely the tix will sell out soon?

Me, I'd wait and see. But that's just me. :)

I'd obviously vote for #3 :P

In all honestly, I'd get the tix and make it a game-day decison if Nicole is feeling up to it. Maybe have someone on stand-by who can take the tickets and enjoy the show (on your dime) if she's not up to it. We all could use some good karma. :D

Just do it... you only live once... If he shows up and you don't go, you'll be kicking yourself. If you go and he doesn't, well, you only live once!!! Just don't go in with high expectations and then you won't be disappointed. Just go looking to have fun and if a real special guest shows up, that's an added bonus!

I think Paul Simon has a house on the east end too.
