Margaritaville NYC

Post by LesPaul30 »

With the post about a possible new location rumored......

i'd love to see it happen- anyone else?

Still nothing north of the Mason-Dixon line!

...just as long as it stays out of Times Square.....

Castro is still playing in Cuba, but the homefield advantage isn't what it used to be.

I guess it would give me a reason to go to NYC...
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

It's hot and humid in NYC today and there are palm trees in the Channel Gardens in Rockefeller Center. 8)

This isn't really NYC, but I do know that up here in Syracuse, there is a project that is just getting started called DestiNY USA (www.destinyusa.com). It will be the largest mall/recreation complex in america, bigger than the mall of america. Last year they annouced that they were in talks with Margaritaville about putting one in there, and I remember seeing it on some of the designs. There were many articles in the paper where it was mentioned, so I'm assuming that it is quite a possibility. The mall is just starting construction, and I will let anyone know if I hear any more.

About 2 1/2 years ago I posted this, and with all the talk of the new Margaritavilles, I figured I would share some info about the rumors that are still around up here in Central New York. This is a blog article from just a couple weeks ago:

Syracuse is no Margaritaville...Perhaps

You can find more information on the soon to be largest mall in the country here: http://www.destinyusa.com/

Still nothing north of the Mason-Dixon line!

There will be one opening in Connecticut in the fall of this year at Mohegan Sun Casino...north of the Mason Dixon line

It would be a good think, I heard there trying to clean up the city anyways. A Margaritaville would put people in a good mood.

LOL...I would bet if he did decide to put one in NY it would most likely be in the Times Square area with all the other theme restaurants, Bubba Gumps, ESPN Zone, Planet Hollywood etc etc. You know the place would always be packed. Look at where the other locations are.

I was going to say, the city was cleaned up when Guliani was mayor, they completely revamped the theater district to make it much more visitor friendly...heck, even Disney has moved into a number of theaters.
