OK - No Giggling -
Was at the Neil Diamond concert at the MCI center in DC on Wed night and enjoyed every minute. While not as "mobile" at 64, the voice was still there. Crowd was reminiscent of the Buffett scene - kids to Grandma's - Little different energy level but I'm glad I did it before he sails on!

Neil Diamond is a
dynamite singer, and has ALWAYS been one of my favorites. I'd donate BOTH kidneys to go to one of his shows. (AFTER the concert is over with, of course).

I won't laugh! I think he's an INCREDIBLE performer! The write up in our local paper agrees. Sounded like Neil was actually a bit surprised at how much the audience liked him.

I got to see him.. over 20 years ago, and it's still one of the top 10 concerts I've ever been to.

Neil is great although he's not the type you'd wanna be caught listening to

. Roll up the windows and crank it!!
He was pretty good in Saving Sliverman.

I was at the Monday show, and admit he is a great performer! But I was giggling quite a bit anyway!
And I LOVED Saving Silverman!

I've always been a huge fan of Neil Diamond (well, since the 60's or early 70's - yes, I guess that's always!). Sweet Caroline just happens to be one of my favorites . . .

If any of you have never seen it, the rockumentary
Heavy Metal Parking Lot (filmed outside a Judas Priest concert in Hampton Roads, VA back in the 80s) is well worth seeking out if, for nothing else, the Neil Diamond Parking Lot segment (the Monster Truck Parking Lot sequence is pretty hilarious too). The movie became such a cult hit it recently led to a spin-off series on one of the cable networks (Trio?) called
Parking Lot.

How ironic is
this-
I come downstairs, put on a C.D., and log on line.
The C.D. that's playing?
TAPROOT MANUSCRIPT by Mr. Neil Diamond.
