Have you seen this video or heard this song. I am enjoying it. When I heard Willie was putting out a reggae album i was like But I think I"ll check it out. Any thoughts?

I agree. If you like Willie Nelson, you should definately check it out. The album is hardly one of the greatest reggae albums ever, but it is a solid Willie Nelson album.

As for the album, I think it's great.
Willie does a suprisingly good job with "The Harder They Come".
I like it better than the original.

I like most of it...however, has anyone noticed that many of the music tracks sound like they come right off a keyboard music synthesizer?

I was expecting something with a little more passion. Instead, most of what I've heard sounds like Willie singing along to a very generic sounding reggae backing track.

according to the inner sleevenotes some recording was done in 96 and some done in 05 (maybe 04 it escapes me right now). My guess is that the vocals were already done back in 96 and they re-did the music, just my guess though.
I actually think musically it sounds better than a lot of reggae.
Sure it's no UB40 but I still like it
Passionwise I think his voice sounds as good as ever and I still consider him one of the best voices ever in country music.
