Now this is a parking lot...
Just got an email from customer service at New Era, and among all the other info regarding the Philadelphia concert, it says that the parking lots for the Buffett shows will open at 6:00am. Can anyone say kegs and eggs.

parking lot
I understand there is a construction project going on
in Philly and heavy traffic is anticipated all day, so the
lots will be open to accommodate the parrotheads coming in.
I have a feeling not much work will be accomplished that day,
as all the construction workers will be in amazement of the
cast of characters (and their vehicles) coming into the "city of
brotherly love" They really should open the lots up the night
before so traffic wouldn't be so bad......but the party sure
would be! Phins UP!

Re: parking lot
What kind of construction are you talking about? Philly is a big place, and there is always some type of contstruction going on somewhere. I haven't heard of anything in the immediate vicinity of the stadium, which is nowhere near downtown.outtalimes wrote:I understand there is a construction project going on

If you're talking aboout road construction, here's a list of the projects lined up for the three major highways around the city (I-95, I-76 and I-676). It doesn't look like a big deal:

I just checked with some Philly friends, and they said the Academy Rd exit was backed up with construction the other day, but they didn't say much about 95 having any recurring issues other than around there...a few lane closures at certain times during the day around that area.
They said it might slow us down a bit if we're coming down 95-S and it's already congested, but I didn't get the feeling it would be brutal at all. They said just typical city traffic issues.
Great traffic website, Blonde Stranger! I'll be sure to hit that up before we leave Thursday morning.

So then, what you are saying is that Darren is virtually useless and should be shot immediately after everyone trashes his apartment this weekend.rednekkPH wrote:I wondered the same thing myself. We really should rethink this 11am crap. I feel like a rookie! Last year at Jones Beach we were done setting up and having cocktails by 8:30!!! And that's AM Zero.

I'm back to livin' Floridays
