Hello All,
I am going to the show on 8/27 in Philly but do not have a parking tailgate pass. I realize the pass allows you access to certain parking areas for the special tailgate. Does anyone know if you are still permitted in other parking lots to tailgate on your own without a pass or is it prohibited ?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Rob, I just got off the phone with a New Era rep and she said that if the particular lot you want to tailgate in is sold out, then you can't get in there to tailgate. I think the only lots that have sold out are M, N and P. There are a bunch of other tailgate lots for which passes weren't sold and she said you could get in there without pre-buying a pass. I think the lots are A-G, J and K.

We might have an extra tailgating pass available from one of our group.Let me know if you need one and I'll check to make sure its still there

Thank you both for the info on the Philly tailgate passes and parking information. I guess we will "wing it" and see where we are able to park once we get to Philly on Saturday. Enjoy the day !!!

The rep told me that it is how it reads on the info e-mail they sent Tailgating is permitted only in parking lots south of Pattison Avenue and east of Darien Street - Then they go oto list lots but the only lots that are S of Pattison and East of Derian is M & N and the Jetro warehouse...

I think they should have said "OR" instead of "and" 'cause the info at New Era says: Tailgating is permitted only in parking lots south of Pattison Avenue and east of Darien Street: lots A-G, J-N and P

and, at least yesterday, P was off-limits for tailgating until 3, which meant they were accepting anyone with tickets in m and n.

I'm guessing it may have screwed people who arrived later up a bit

I parked in G because it was the first lot I came to and they took my M and N pass and said no problem. I dont think it really matters.

But what happens if you bought an M/N pass and want to park in M/N - do they say tough luck and go someplace else if the lot is already full?

Yes, that is what happened to my mother-in-law. They directed her to another lot

We parked in a lot just across 7th from lot P (no letter). We could tailgate there, grills and everything. But it was pretty quiet. We'll be in N tomorrow.

even though we had paid $25 for the tailgating pass, we found it was easier to pay another $20.00 just to end the suffering and get the party started in another parking lot!

the Jetro warehouse is where we ended up for $20.00. There was a good crowd, and we partied like the Parrot Heads we are!
