Legends of the fall (Book)

I am probably going to get this later off Amazon and heard it's where "Nordstorm" came from, is this true?
It's a great book. Written by Jim Harrison. All of his books are really good. His daughter Jamie writes really great mysteries centered in Montana. Both spend a lot of time around Livingston Montana.
