You guys are all at the top in my book! If I'm not able to get there before the next concert, I'll be sure to stop at your place first, even if you are not there!!!
Oh yeah the other day...I noticed my hurricaine lily is blooming like mad again.... If the saying, that they predict hurricaines is true...remember it bloomed pretty crazy and early this year,We may need need a new list of names for hurricaines....
Oh yeah July set a record for most tropical storms...
Tropical Storm Cindy formed early on July 5 and then moved northward to make landfall near Grand Isle, La. Heavy rainfall and inland flooding accompanied Cindy as it tracked northeastward across the eastern U.S.
When Tropical Storm Dennis formed, also on July 5, it was the earliest date on record for a fourth named storm. Dennis grew into the earliest category 4 hurricane on record and made landfall near Pensacola, Fla., on the 10th, spreading heavy rainfall inland.
July also included Emily and Franklin. The formation of Tropical Storm Gert on the 24th made it a record five storms in the month.

I don't know exactly where it came from may have been on he property before we moved out here long ago.
I have fotos of it on the computer but none online so I don't think I can post them....
Anyway this particular plant is about 3-4 feet in diameter and maybe the same in height....it will get one or more stalks and out of each stalk either a few OR ALOT flowers will form.
After the flowers are done blossoming, where they were forms these "bulb looking things" that drop off and act like seeds.....
It is said when they bloom alot there will be alot of hurricaines...That may only be a local wives tale or just a coinkee dinky.... I will find you some info and fotos online ...

Nope that is not it, though that is all I have been able to find on it ....I had some info on it elsewhere but I cannot find it now and I am looking all over the place.....The flowers are white, the edges quite smooth,.... sometimes you can see a faint line od purple dashes sunning the length of the petals and the er ummm sepals??? something I read about earlier...while trying to find it....
Mom always called it a hurricane lily .... and told me the little she knew of it, it has broad long leaves...that stay with the plant year round unless a freeze gets to it then it bounces right back......
This appears to be it. This is close but I am not 100% it is exactly it the other flowers don't appear quite right.
Trying to find more info on the plant now....Mom may have had the name wrong ... she was never really sure of it .
