As the originator of this thread, and a relative newcomer, thank you for chiming in after all this with a sense of humor! It's a long story, but if you stick around, you'll begin to understand! (Well, not really, but it won't seem so odd anyway!)

and Welcome to BuffettNews!!

Obviously, you've never been to Philadelphia and had one of their delicious, famous cheesepantysteaks. Now that's good eatin! :pirate:

He didn't have to. We ALL knew what he was talking about.

And what exactly did it tell you?
That if Jah plays his cards right, he could have a penpal for life in PM? :D
Just because Parrot Monkey and myself happen to be the most vocal opponents to all the BS we see on the site, it doesn't mean we're the only ones that feel that way. Some of you also tried to accuse me and Alaara of being the same person just because we share similar musical tastes. More BN BS on the part of some of you. Maybe one day you'll wake up and realize not all of us think the same way, nor would we want to. What a boring place the world would be if that was the case. Maybe that's your idea of utopia but it sure as hell isn't mine. If there's any artist out there loves celebrating diversity it's Jimmy Buffett, sadly that's not always reflected by his fans (the online portion anyway).
You know, PM thinks it's pretty cute when you get angry like that... your nostrils flare, and you turn that funny purple colour, kinda like a Smurf choking on a chunk of limburger... :D

I'm guessing your latest form of "bait" is supposed to be funny. It's not.

and to the newbie, you've just fallen prey to how most of the people at BN handle what they deem controversial situations. Changing the subject to cheese to side step the actual conversation is something I've only seen commended here. Must be nice if your life is so simple that that seems to be the answer to everything. It's not but at BN it's a big part of a lot of posters' standard operating procedure.

I have no idea what that means but I do know I'm not the only fan of them here. Why that is constantly held against me at BitchersNews, I'll never have any idea.

Translation: No, you've actually just seen me speak the truth about this board, something that apparently few other have the cojones to do. If you disagree or simply want to sweep subjects deemed controversial under the rug, just bring up cheese. Supposedly that makes everything OK.

Most tapers I know use DAT (Digital Audio Tape) which has a high storage capacity and who's sound quality rivals that of CDs. They then take their recordings and mix them down and clean them up before burning the finished results to compact disc. At this point, I don't think the technology is in place for portable CD burners of this nature.
