Very disappointed!

Post by brettsmom »

:( We saw Jimmy Buffett in Philadelphia last night..we've seen him every year for the past 7 years in Philadelphia. The venue, Citizens Bank Park, might be great for a ballgame, but it was a horrible venue to see a concert!!! The sound bounced all over the stadium, it was blaring and garbled...you couldn't hear any of the backup singers at all...the whole ticket buying process was a nightmare, as well...Jimmy, if you're reading this...go back to the Waterfront--you sold out by jamming so many people into a stadium meant for ball players!! We left before it was even over, and that NEVER happens!!!

I am so sorry to hear that.... were you sitting in nosebleed? I was listening on RM... sounded great and when Jimmy called out to the "upper decks" all you could hear was screaming...so I assumed it was all good... :-?

The sound quality really depended on where you were sitting.... I had tickets in the upper level and thought it would be better to stand on the first base side on the lower level (to be closer to the stage). However, after the first 2 songs we decided (since the sound was so bad where we were standing) to move up to our seats. When we got to our seats, the sound was much better and we could hear the entire bad...

  The phone call I got during Hey Good Lookin' and 5 O'Clock Somewhere sounded great from the 2nd row.

Sorry you had a bad experience, though. It's hard for things to sound good in places not designed for concerts.

Wow, I was in 218, and I could hear everything crystal clear, and even from up there, the view was incredible. The CBP, IMO, was beautiful, clean, and getting in and out for parking was great :)

The fireworks show at the end was a beautiful touch too.

But then, I think I'm also one of the few who didn't have any ticket problems to begin with, either.
Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all..

You can be sure that if I had seats in the second row, I wouldn't rub it in anyone's face if they didn't!! I'm so glad you could hear your phone call! :-?

This is true. And it was one of the better broadcasts I've heard on RM in a while. Sorry you missed out CP. :-?

I can't listen on Saturday though as we're going to a BBQ with some non-Pheads. They have Sirius but I don't think they'll let me get that dial anywhere near RM.
