Yea, we had passes for lots M or N and were told they were closed when we got there around 5:00. We wound up in the stadium lot itself, which was fine. Getting out was an experience, but all-in-all it wasn't too bad. The couple we went with said it was MUCH, MUCH better than what they encountered at Nissan in June.

Philly ran out of pre-paid spaces because they did absolutely nothing to make sure they used all of the spaces they had!
I know! When the shows were in Camden, the parking nazis made sure that every car took up only one space. No exceptions. Only large buses were permitted any space between them, and even that was limited. It seemed like the parking was woefully understaffed.

Parking for us went pretty smoothly. We did the prepaid thing, but not for tailgating. We got a spot around 5:00pm in Lot "S" right next to the left field gate they were opening first. We walked right in, and on the way out, it took all of 5 minutes for us to exit the lot.

This was for Thursday, by the way.

Sorry to all that had problems.

That was the best part of the parking there - if you made the effort to get there early, you were rewarded by being able to take up as much space as you wanted. We paid for 3 vehicles, and easily grabbed 12 spaces, which gave us plenty of room for the bar, canopies, grill, etc.

If ya snooze, ya lose...

Redneck, what lot were you in? Did "security" say anything to you? We saw them coming around but they didn't say anything to us. I guess they got the right Idea that we were there to stay.

We wee set up in Lot M, around sections 9 and 10 for both shows. We had abaolutely no problem with cops or security - in fact they stopped by several times and took pictures with us.

We got there at 7 am. (Lot M)...I was in the big green and white RV...we had to pay for 2 oversized vehicles spaces...$80...which was fine with me...plenty of room for us and our neighbors (the crew in the Helmet man van)..thanks for the extra ICE .... :D

we parked in lot M for the Thursday show....not bad.....Saturday we parked in Lot K.....better lot in my own opinion....we were there early enough that we were only maybe 100 yards from the entrance to the stadium. We did have to pay extra though....2 cars and we used 3 spots, now knowing that there were parking problems, i feel pretty bad about that....what i would like to know is if anyone can explain to me why a good portion of the people walking in had to be jerks and A*****ES? Quick story, while getting our wrist bands for the field some jerk came plowing through the line to get to the front and pushed my pregnant fiancee into the table that was being used.....had I not politely escorted him to the back of the line, I am pretty sure he never would have apologized!

New Era is working out an "amicable settlement" , whatever that may be, and we should hear back from them next week regarding the fact that we had to pay for parking twice (prepaid and then again at the lot since we couldn't get into M or N)

Man! Sounds like a TON of you got locked out of Lots M&N... I wish I'd had YOUR parking passes...

I hooked up with the "Talking Goat Tour" on Saturday at the Ikea parking lot at 11:00am, but didn't have a parking pass. Almost everyone I spoke to said that on Thursday people had been able to purchase parking passes for lots M&N at the gate, so I figured "No problem!"

NOT... There were a TON of parking spots at that time, but there was NO WAY I was going to be allowed to enter that lot!

Me and one other car full of BeaNers had to park down at the end of a long warehouse and use a big metal luggage cart to haul our ice chests and parrotphernalia back down to lots M&N.

And what a Buffettpalooza THAT was!

I'd do Philly again... (As long as I could get better tickets!)

I called New Era this morning and left a voice mail with the person in charge of handling the parking fiasco, and was assured that she would return my call.

I suggest everyone else who had problems call New Era and complain, as they say "the crying baby gets the milk"!

here's their phone number:

the woman at New Era did in fact return my call and left a message of her own, asking me for my address and other information.

I'll keep you posted as other developments occur. I thought for sure that they would just blow me off!

MWill,

Sorry. I was one of the people that told you you could pay at the gate because many people here were saying they did it. But, we still had fun, no? What's a little rain. It was great meeting you and so many of the other BNers.

Tickets, schmickets. The wife and I finagled our way to the front row for the entire 2nd half of the show. :pirate: Best show EVER!
