Can someone remind me about the time zone thing? Is Indianapolis on Daylight Savings Time and is 8 in Indy really 9 Eastern or do I need to be here an hour earlier for 8 Central Time? I guess if there is no daylight savings time, Indianapolis is Eastern and would still be the same time as it is here in central time zone???
I'm so confused...

All of Indiana (including Indianapolis), except for that little bitty part next to Chicago, is always on Eastern Standard Time - they never change their clocks! So in the spring, since they never "spring ahead" they align with the central zone -- 8pm Indy time is 8pm Central zone time (now). In the fall, when everyone else "falls back", Indiana does nothing, and becomes once again, part of the Eastern standard time zone.Finsupinfla wrote:???????????????????????????????conched wrote:Can someone remind me about the time zone thing? The time thing really isnt that difficult in Indy.
They dont mess with their clocks, thats all.
When I was a little kid, we had a camper at Lake Pleasant. So back then I knew that most of the state does not take part in the ****ing with the time. I soon forgot that though. My first concert was in Deer Creek. We were following our friends in another car. THEY were supposed to be the navigators, they had the map. Soon I felt things were not right. Turns out they were leading us to Deer Creek, IN....not Deer Creek Amphitheatre.
They felt so bad, thinking we were going to be late, and not get tickets. We passed a bank and saw the time. We had an extra hour!!! It all worked out, and we all got our tickets in the lot.
