WOOHOO ! ! :D :D :D

I knew the G-Men would be playing with intense emotion after the loss of their owner :( but I never expected them to win 36-0 ! :D And how touching was it when Tiki ran over to present his TD ball to Wellington's granson, I got kinda misty at that scene...

And kudos to the Pats as well for their comeback win vs the Bills. :D (But boy ... did Tedy look positively bushed at the end of that game, or what!) :o

Yeah yeah yeah. I'm beyond ticked at the Birds. They played like crap. I think they better not come back to Philly today, because, everyone is about to jump the bridge.

The back page of this morning's Daily News has a picture of Eli Manning giving the game ball to John Mara, Wellington's son. And it was one of the few times they actually showed the National Anthem being sung before the game, by one of Wellington's granddaughters.

She's cute too.

If the Giants' offense had been a little more efficient they could have scored over 50 yesterday.

As a Packer fan, I will acknowledge that this season is down the tubes.

However....I do believe the Pack might be the first team EVER to be 1-6, yet having more POINTS SCORED than POINTS ALLOWED!!!

On the season:
158 points scored
139 points allowed

This might be one of my favorite stats of all time!

That 52-3 blowout might have something to do with it.

Hey Giants fans, ready for a letdown at SF this week?
You know it's going to happen.

[quote="buffettbride"]BOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

WE GOT OUR ASS KICKED BY THE GIANTS YESTERDAY

We have to be the most inconsistant team in the NFL by far. 52 on the niners (yeah they s*** so what) and get shut out by the Giants. I am a grateful loser so congrats to the Giants for what they did.

The Chargers didn't give the game away this week. Next week The Bolts play the 4th team in the past 5 weeks (Pittsburgh, Oakland, Philadelphia and now NYJets) coming off a bye. Add the fact the Chiefs played on a Friday before facing the Bolts...teams are getting a lot of time to prepare for them.

Marty sure tried, though.
After going up by 15 with over 9 minutes to go in the 4th,
we abondoned the pass completely (stubbornly), holding the football for less than 2 1/2 minutes down the stretch, and putting it all on our defense (again) to kill the game.
The Chiefs racked up 300 yards of passing in the 2nd half alone... :-?
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!

One thing I've noticed, the Manning boys seem to have a strong appreciation and respect for tradition and the game -- that's nice to see these days.

Anyone think we might see brother vs. brother in the Super Bowl??? :o

When we finally got our cable in the MWR so we could see football, I posted the following sign on the door:

AFN/NFL Football Starts September 8th

if you aren't a fan of the

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

don't plan on watching it here.
