What time is everyone getting into P-town. I leaving Seattle 1st thing Thursday morning & should get there around noon. I can't wait to meet up once we get a plan into effect. I am thinking the pool @ Double Tree or the Mexican bar @ the hotel. This is going to be a great show especially since it is the only one on schedule for the left coast.

Add a couple more Vancouver Islanders to the list!
welcom to the site Hammer
what part of the Island are you from?
Thanks, We're in not always so sunny Port Alberni. Where are you moored.
It might not always be sunny, but it sure is a nice place
We are in beautiful North Vancouver
Speaking of it not always being sunny (here in Portland) what exactly is the proper footwear to wear with a grass skirt, on what could be quite the cold, rainy evening?
Do you freeze your A55 off, getting soaked, wearing flip flops? Or do you look really stupid and wear full-on footwear like shoes, sneakers or the like?
I would go with the gortex hiking boots. Then the Great Northwest can blend with the tropics in harmony. I would also toss in a wool hat to go with the bikini top.

Last time they played in Portland they were doing the "Hokie Pokie" contest and one of the winners was a teacher from Canada.....she was sportin' Sorels (or something similar) with her grass skirt!
Me? I'm sure I'll be clad in my flip flops no matter what the weather brings....

Ah yes, my husband and I still talk about her to friends who have never been to a show. She was a hoot! She was also wearing Canadian flag stickers as her bra. Course, it was September then and about 85 degrees so she didn't have to worry about her headlights.

Sounds like the Shilo folks denied us our pre-show party, but the weather is not cooperating anyway. Count on about 60 of us Oregon Coast Parrotheads at the Double Tree Party! Tom Varley http://www.tomvarley.com/ will entertain us.
See you there!
not to be picky or anything... isn't this about the 7th thread that concerns Portland!! Island Hopper warned me!!
Shall we pick one and just go with it??? Or am I judy being presumptious.
