I wouldn't trade the experience for anything! It was great from start to finish. I just hope we can all do it again someday.

You are killing me. Family reunion instead of Buffett. My Keets getting to know their cousins was great, but as someone who has gone to Wrigley since the late 50's and seen Jimmy since '78
JUST FREAKIN STOP......YOU ARE FREAKIN' KILLING ME

Glad y'all had a good time
duuude.. you're already sleeping on the couch, how much more torqued could Mrs. Cubbie be if you'd bailed and gone to the concert? :D
It was my side of the family

From someone who was adamant that I would never go to a concert at Wrigley... no matter the performer... but softened to the idea in recent weeks... and was the fortunate recipient of a ticket on Monday... my resounding answer is...

yes! It was way fun. Good times. Great atmosphere. But I still like the traditional business held at Wrigley Field. :D

GO CUBBIES!!!

Well - I will probably get slammed - but I have to say NO not worth paying $90+ to see a little tiny icon of a person singing on the stage. I know, I know there were the big screens to view - but the seating was way too far away from the stage. This was my 15th Jimmy show - and my least favorite.

You know the music was good, perfomance was good, I for one (along with other people that I met Sunday night & on Monday) did not care for the venue. No tailgating - only high priced beers at the surrounding bars with overflowing bathrooms.

On Monday you couldn't give away tickets for the show. People with extra tickets were trying to give them away on the street without any takers. Sunday night you could have picked seats up for $25 or less.

Sorry for the negative veiwpoint - but that was how I saw it.

Was it worth it? I worked both games. I sold a lot, and I mean a lot of corona. I listened to Jimmy while at work. I worked with 39,000 of my phriends and family. It was the best ( I think ) Jimmy has sounded. As Ernie Banks has said next yaer "lets play two" Next year my wife says that I will only work 1 concert. I will be in the seats for 1.

For me, it was one of the best weekends I have ever had. Of course I had a bit of a different perspective....

I got to meet 8 members of the Reefers, plus Charleston, and cook for them.
I got to witness sound check, and listen to them practicing "City Of New Orleans" to make sure they got it right (and they did!)
I got to meet a lot of new phriends, and reunite with a bunch of old ones.
I got to spend the weekend with one of my favorite people.
I got to walk on the field at Wrigley Field.
I got to see 2 Jimmy Buffett concerts
And I got paid for it.

Anyway, welcome to BuffettNews, June.

For me it was truly a slice of heaven on earth. Thanks to Jimmy and everyone else who did their job to make the Wrigley weekend so special. And thanks for all the fun, BN friends! :P :P

It was worth every penny. Great weather, 2 great shows, seeing a lot of old friends again and meeting a lot of new ones for the first time. Who cares that you couldn't tailgate and the beers were overpriced in the bars. It was 2 days of great people and great music. Isn't that what Buffett Day is supposed to be about?

It was worth every penny that I spent. We stayed at the Palmer House Hotel and had the opportunity to show those rich bastards how to party! The hotel was awesome, the EL was fun, the concert was the best that I have seen and the night life afterwards was great too.

On Monday, we were eating at a restuarant on Michigan Ave and decided to try to get tickets for that day as well. We found some for $40.00 a pop and had just as much fun as we did on Sunday.

One of my friends that went with me goes to film school in South Carolina and it it always great to see him and party with the Parrotheads!

NOOOOOOOOO! I thought it sucked compared to Alpine. Even the papers the next day commented about the sound, etc.
