I haven't heard about all these countries helping out. I think it's awesome. I do not think the press is doing enough to tell the US citizens of all the help (however small, or however large) that is coming in from all the countries we have helped in the past or are continuing to help in the present.

Thanks for your comment! I agree wholeheartedly. I hadn't heard about it either until I read it on Buffett News, a wonderful news source. Regular posters here are very well informed and good at getting the news out that you may not see otherwise.

Thanks again for tracking this down for us, Prthd119!

No?

Then STFU.
Are you guys talking to ME? Then, STFU, yourself. 8)
And both of you lighten up... I started the post as a big THANK YOU.
Did you miss that? Can you not take a little lighthearted humor for what it is? :(

P.S. I can accept the fact that maybe what I said is not that funny, but saying I am scoffing or making fun OF what other countries are doing is off base. I am very appreciative and felt that these countries needed our applause. I'm sorry I felt comfortable with you guys enough to just joke around. You don't know me well enough to say I am scoffing at what these countries have done for us. :x
Um...you didn't belittle any of the efforts of these nations, so why on earth did you think my comment was directed at you? I thought it was spelled out quite plainly who I meant.

You may want to try decaf.

DECAF??? DECAF??? Are you trying to kill me? That's as pointless as drinking nonalcoholic beer. :D :D :D I LOVE my coffee.

No, it's just that in this whole thread, I thought I was the only one making minor jokes, so naturally, I thought you meant me... And the post you were applauding said "here, people are making fun of other countries' contributions." So naturally....

But it's all good! Sorry for the dramatics. :D

Actually, the here I was referring to was meant generally, as well as BN. I just don't find it funny to make comments like that toward countries that are offering assistance, whatever the size of the offer. Let's just agree to disagree on this one.

Ohmigosh, that's ridiculous...
But I have a friend who lived in Germany when she was five years old.
She can't donate blood because of "potential mad cow disease." :(
