Bette Midler is an ass.
Don't even get me started about that idiot!! She should be shot!
Some one who can tirn a wonderful, charitable event into her own personal attack on the president is an ass. Obviously, she just doesn't get it...last night had nothing to do with politics...it was about people coming together to help others.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there's a time and place for everything. Last night's concert wasn't a political event, it was a charity event to raise money to help people who suffered devastating losses. People should be smart enough to know what's appropriate and what isn't. Everyone seemed to realize that, except her.

I picked a good time to go to the bar and get a beer (and beads!)

I saw from the TV that Bette was on stage. . heard boos. . but the Yankee game was also on - so I didn't pay much attention to it!
Pointless comment. .

Not at all funny and in very bad taste. Glad I missed it!

Man, this sucks!
I'd had an absolutely chitty day at work. We got home towards the end of the first showing, called Comcast and they got it up and running for us. But then, they must have PPV channels set to NOT record on the DVR so we had no way of recording it.
Then, we were so dang tired, my husband was falling asleep sitting straight up in his computer chair before the 10pm replay came on. We started watching that, saw the 1 song Bubba did, but just didn't have the energy to stay up any longer.
I had a terrible migraine from work. So we ended up going to bed and missing Buffett's set. Waaaaah!!
What songs did he sing??? Was it just Bubba or were the Coral Reefers w/him?
Any rumors of it coming out on DVD?

I won't lie - I am NOT a fan of the President.... I have been very disappointed with almost anything he has ever said or done and knew that thissecond term would be worse bc he knows he is done.... HOWEVER.... if I were at a CHARITY event and not a POLITICAL event.. I would focus on the CHARITY ..... bad taste and I do like Better Midler - I guess some of these celebrities can't get it straight and use their stardom to get their feelings out to the masses. I would never say anything about the President at that time. Like you all said - there is a place and a time!!!
