I drove over the Cooper River Bridge on Friday to Myrtle Beach and again on Saturday on my way home.

I can't wait to get home and drive over the new bridge.....
I remember, before the other NEW bridge was built?? There was just the old bridge..and it was 2 way traffic??
We packed up every Summer and moved from Downtown to the beach house on Sullivan's Island......
My grandmother forgot something once and did a THREE POINT TURN on the old bridge.....
all the kids were on the floorboard...Didn't want to see what happened!
NO WAY!!! That took guts.
We used to go to Sullivans and Isle of Palms for day beach trips, and before crossing Mom would pull over and tell us kids to BE QUIET and THE FIRST KID THAT MAKES A PEEP while she was driving that bridge would "get it" when we got to the other side. It was pretty scary. (The bridge, not my Mom )

I have a UF license plate on my car that reads... FL1RT. I have attended UCF and am now attending USF... the only time I get funny looks is when I fly my flags on USF campus.... its not my faul I was raised a Gator! Tell your daughther that I would gladly walk aroung the UCF, FSU, USF or any campus proudly wearing my gator gear with her!!!

She is at UNF now ..last 2 yrs..and STILL wearing her Blue and Orange...proudly...

so you rioted while Mom careened over the bridge?
R2? If you saw the old bridge...2 miles long..aircraft carriers fit under it....and even when they made it one way with both lanes? It was scary.....

lol... don't get me started... actually.. the FSU campus is the only place I was ever given a hard-time for my orange and blue... they threw me in the fountain.
I have been to many of a pre-game party in tally... I will remain neutral when they are playing anyone but my Gators.... Not so nice things happen when i watch that game... thats why I stay home!
