I saw a local Buffettesque singer at the Conch House Lounge in St. Augustine do the Spongebob Squarepants theme.
If we all were not drunk it would have sucked
"Oooooooh who lives ina pineapple under the sea"
"It's crazy and it's different, but it's really bein' free"
I did see somebody play the Sesame Street Theme on guitar one time. It was a long time ago and I had been drinking earlier, so I have no idea who it was...it was freaking hilarious at the time though.
Speaking of Puff the Magic Dragon, I'm pretty sure I saw Edwin McCain do that once back in the day...
Guy Clark's Homegrown Tomatoes is awesome live (Blue Dogs)...
"Ain't nothing in the world that I like better
Than bacon and lettuce and homegrown tomatoes"
They list off vegetables and list Macaroni and Cheese...
As for JB, Glory Days has got to be up there somewhere, although I wasn't there. Never thought I'd hear him do that live (or Wind Cries Mary for that matter)...
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Wish I coulda saw Edwin do that.... Saw Edwin many years ago at the HOB, serious show---but all I gotta say is when he closes with I'll Be, and its just him there, then the saxamophone comes out---just brillant
(Yes I know saxaphone is mispelled---its the Homer Jay Simpson wording)
Mr Myers, a local trop band that covers Jimmy among other things, sometimes plays the calypso sounding Arthur Theme Song, and it sounds great! Kids love it too!
Every day when you're
Walking down the street,
Everybody that you meet
Has an original point of view.
And I say - Hey! (Hey!)
What a wonderful kind of day
If we could learn to work and play
And get along with each other.
You gotta listen to your heart,
Listen to the beat,
Listen to the rhythm,
The rhythm of the street.
Open up your eyes.
Open up your ears.
Get together
And make things better
By working together.
It's a simple message,
And it comes from the heart.
Believe in yourself,
For that's the place to start.
And I say - Hey! (Hey!)
What a wonderful kind of day
If we could learn to work and play
And get along with each other.
Hey! What a wonderful kind of day. Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day. Hey!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave
Not nearly as cool as the Jungle Book song or Puff.....but I saw Sara Evans a coupla weeks ago and at the end (Lord knows how I remember this) she did that Belinda Carlisle song "Heaven on Earth"..........
and not that I necessarily wanted to see that song live......but ya know. Sara rocked tho!
