Used to be Demon Dogs in Chicago, but they've closed down. :(
Now it's the hot dogs/brats they sell at Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park. I refuse to ever call it by any other name
Also a place in Cedar Rapids called "The Flying Weinie" ranks right up there with the best of them.

I dunno if they are related or a franchise. There is one in Brunswick, Ga and used to be one (not sure if it is still there or not) on St.Simons Island....
Without a doubt, the best dogs around. Try their Junkyard Dawg!!!

IMHO Boar's Head brand is THE BEST hotdog I have had yet! I used to think Nathan's was the best.....but not anymore...

Potilios in Chicago, GOOD

Tully, you gotta try Barkers from the street vendors in downtown Atlanta

My wife and I eat Butterball turkey/chicken franks here at home

I prefer German style Bratwursts (Nicole likes em with cheese inside)

I have tried hot dogs deep fried, very good, crunchy

and if in Atlanta you MUST go to the Varsity

I'll second that one... :)
And my second choice would be the original Nathan's.

Lips and a$$holes. Victoria won't touch 'em. Tony loves 'em.

I'm impartial (although it's not my first choice of food), but a good hot dog with chili/cheese/onions is YUMMY!

Mel's Hot Dogs, Tampa, FL, just outside of Busch Gardens. Serving Vienna Beef Franks, mmmmmm. No trip to Busch Gardens is complete without stopping at Mel's for a chili dog basket.

There used to be a hotdog place on the square there in Marietta years ago that was good and there was one in Forest Park called Great American Hotdog that was great but went out of business.

'Tis a great hot dog, but it violates the cardinal rule of hot dogs... NO KETCHUP!!!

A true Chicago dog never has ketchup. Here's the recipe...

Chicago Hot Dogs
Charles Leroux
Published August 30, 2005

Not much in this world is perfect.

The Chicago Hot Dog is perfect.

Boiled or steamed, not grilled, it lies regally in a lightly steamed poppy-seed bun and is anointed with:

Diced onion

Tomato wedges

Pickle relish the color of Kryptonite

Yellow mustard

A few sport peppers

A dill pickle spear

A shake of celery salt

There's your classic Chicago-style dog, a perfect teaming of tastes and colors and textures.

We don't have to mention, no ketchup! None! Ever! Do we?
