Margaritaville in Orland Park?

I heard a rumor that I can't confirm or deny, but I wanted to see if anyone else has heard anything:

Margaritaville may be opening a restaurant in Orland Park, IL?

Going along with the rest of the locations, this location doesn't make sense...I contacted the chamber of commerce but haven't heard back yet.
With the rumors of Tweeter in Tinley closing down, and having just moved to Tinley last summer, this would be better than nothing!

Rumor last year was that they were planning on putting a CIP in that old polish banquet hall on the southwest corner of 159th and Oak Park Ave in Bremantowne Plaza.

Maybe that's what my 'source' may have been talking about....I live right down Oak Park Ave past 183rd...that would've been pretty nice!

The area I grew up in. How many countless drunken nights have you spent inside Dendrino's with that old lady who almost looks like Elvira as the bartender.

Dendrino's is literally right in my backyard! I have been there twice only for a short time, to do shots and then stumble back to my place. My first time there was Cinco de Mayo after watching Johnny and the Beacn Bum Band at Anita Margarita.....I said I would never go back, but I did, and hopefully I will never see the inside of that place again!

All it is is a place to drink with Teehans closes, stop in for a few more beers before ya hit the interstate home.

That's exactly what it's for...next time you plan on going, let me know...it's cheaper to drink at my place, and the atmosphere's just a little better!

I would love to see a Margaritaville in Orland Park ! My grandparents live

out in Orland, and they're around the corner from that location. I was in

that banquet hall 2 years ago for my cousin's wedding reception.

Margaritaville would definitely make that corner look better. As for the

Tweeter in Tinley, I've worked there for the past 3 summers. I don't think

it will be closing anytime soon.

That is an odd location however, a Margaritaville somewhere in the midwest is better than no Margaritaville in the midwest.

The original rumor was a CIP at the corner of 159th & Oak Park. The new rumor is a CIP on 151 St. and LaGrange Road. Hope it happens. Downers Grove is a long ride.

Orland Park IS being looked into for a possible CIP site. No location has yet proven sufficient. Research continues.

We have pictures of Dendrino's from the last 2 JB concerts at Tinley Park. I remember about 10 of chanting to our DD on the way back to the hotel "Dendrinos, Dendrinos". We didn't stop because the DD thought our crew was too intoxicated to be stopping at another bar.

Cool!!!! I'd like to suggest the corner of 171st and LaGrange road. It may be Orland Hills. They just broke ground on a large strip mall project there. If CIP was the anchor for the mall they might be able to negotiate a good lease. It's a great location.

another possible location is New Lenox---- with a mall going in at Rte 6 and Cedar rd ( mall similar to bigger size then Gurnee Mills) and with 355 going right past it---would be a perfect spot.

Seriously I'd love a Margaritaville cafe ANYWHERE in Chicago.... I'm actually planning on hitting the CIP in Downers Grove this afternoon and heading out to the Yorktown mall to do some shopping.

Where would be a good place for it? (I'd think Jimmy should shoot for something around "Navy Pier" :)

How about a Margaritaville cruise ship on Lake Michigan? Get rid of the Spirit of Chicago, throw some tiki huts on Navy Pier and sail out on Jimmy's newest boat to watch the sun set over the city on an island in the lake.
