What is the weather typically like in early December in Philly? I'm considering planning a trip and wanted to know what we'd be up against. Are you guys typically dealing with snow or ice that early? Thanks in advance.

Cold enough. Probably in the upper 30's during the day (low forties tops) probably low thirties or upper 20's in the evenings.

Not according to last year, but I didn't look back any further:

Weather that time of the year could be ANYTHING!
I'm over on the shore about 60 miles east of Philly. We always have a Christmas parade the first weekend in Dec. over the last 6 - 7- years I have been bundled up, cold and drinking hot chocolate and there have been years (though not often enough) that I am wearing jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt.

Let's see, in the last couple of years we've had snow on Christmas the one year, and we were wearing t-shirts another.

For the most part though, ice and bad snow are more January/February weather, so I wouldn't worry too too much about it.
