I can sing harmony....I sing alto in the church choir.
But I cannot sing solo. My voice isn't good enough.
I also cannot listen to CD's or the radio without singing harmony with the music.
I really wish I had a beautiful voice.
Do not resent growing old. Many are denied the privilege.
I can sing although I am not trained. I sing with a couple of colleagues in our school open mic nights, and I love to sing harmony with my daughter who really has a pure true voice.
Car, home, shower, WHEREVER! I a-singin'!!

I love to sing, but like Mal... I too can scare the water. The only one that seems to enjoy my singing is my 16 week old daughter and that's good enough for me.
I can sing however NO ONE wants to hear it! I've even gone so far as to threaten to sing if my daughter acts up in public. She immediately stops whatever she is doing and starts acting like she's supposed to.

Years of church and school (including college) choruses..... a few wedding solos for friends.... but now 20 yrs later I sing for my own enjoyment. And its not bad... just "let go"..... The voice if left untrained or unused has a way of losing its oompf!!
I DO sing, but I CAN'T sing. I always thought I could til my mom would say "oh, Connie's my singer," obviously making fun of me since my brother and sisters can all sing. And since I've discovered that I can't sing, I realized that when I was in 1st Grade (we had music w/ the 2nd graders), the nun HAD to be making fun of me since she'd always call me up to sing beside her at the piano. OBVIOUSLY it wasn't cause I was any good! HOW RUDE!

You too?
maybe we could start a band??
I do have to crack up when I hear IL (aka Jennifer) say she sounds like Stevie Nicks!! We've driven around both singing at the tops of our lungs; we're REALLY good!
