Headaches...
Anyone get them?
What do ya do about them?
What triggers them?
Mine are wicked evil. Especially lately, feels like someone hit me upside the head with a brick. Happens at least 3-4 times a week lately. I've never really been diagnosed with migraines, but I pretty much fit the bill with all the symptoms. Usually it's throbbing in my right temple, extreme sensitivity to light (and sometimes sound), and neck pain that is absolutely out of this world.
I used to only get 3-4 a month, but I'm 3 for 3 this week, starting Monday, up through this very moment. Silly me, I felt great this morning and after about 45 minutes in the office I want to crawl under my desk and die.
If I catch it early enough, I can usually feel better with about 4-6 ibuprofin and a cup of coffee.
Anyway...headache people...tell me what you do to feel better.

They were so few-and-far between before, even if they were excrutiating, I could always just sleep it off. This week has been terrible though. ((Bob))st.somewhere wrote:Hmmm... It may be an epdemic. I hardly ever get headaches, but since Sunday I've had one pretty much all day every day. Not fun.
Maybe it's all that banging on the headboard.

I sp'ose I'll get new glasses then, and see if it helps. I hardly ever wear my contacts unless I'm going "out" or something.ToplessRideFL wrote:That was my problem.... and the headaches were gutwrenching....buffettbride wrote: Could be changes in my vision I s'pose and my eyes do hurt very, very badly.
I also get them if I pull my hair up too tight....but the tight bun and glasses look just kinda works.

Yep, I get migraines (including vision loss) frequently and headaches almost daily. Your vision issues could be symptomatic of migraines.
Few things to consider: it could be allergies, or as someone else pointed out, vision problems.
First, go see a doctor. If you aren't satisfied with what he diagnoses, see one more. Ask to be referred to an allergist.
Get your eyes checked too.
Don't mess with your head. You only have one. Get it checked out to your satisfaction.
Personally, I've had bad headaches/migraine for over 20 years. I have figured out a few things though. My headaches occur when there's a large change in barometric pressure. Which is great fun. Also, certain alcohols trigger my sinus headaches, which makes my sinuses swell to the point where my vision is affected. That makes me very sad.
Again, get your vision checked and see a doctor. If it is something as simple as headaches/migraines there are things you can do to alleviate the pain. But you don't want to find out the hard way that it's something more.
Take care!

Yep. Depends upon stress in my life, how much time I'm spending at the computer, if I sleep on my neck the wrong way, lots of factors. Chiropractic adjustment takes care of me and if you can find a doctor certified in the Cox TEchnique that's even better.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I get migraines a couple of times a year. It used to be more, but I have narrowed it down to them being within a day of eating bacon and a certain brand of cheese filled hot dogs. The first time I had a migraine (lost vision, puking), the first thing the Dr. asked was if I had bacon for breakfast. Without him asking that, I would never have watched what I was eating to see what triggered them. He also said a brand of artificial sweetener in diet pop causes it. (I didn't pay attention to what brand because I don't drink diet pop.)
Maybe it's because you haven't been able to double click your mouse lately.
You know, that is a cure for headaches, or so my husband says!

I'm not sure I could let someone manipulate me. I'd be askeered they'd break me.jackiesic wrote:Yep. I've never heard the bacon thing before. For me it can be too much sugar, too much caffeine, not enough caffeine...never really thought about other foods though. Hmmm. I've heard cheese and chocolate can both be bad for headaches.shakerofsalt wrote:I get migraines a couple of times a year. Believe me, the double-clicking dilemma was only temporary.
