Travelling for work...

I know there's lots of BNrs here that travel for work.
Hubby's team at work have some training classes that will be out-of-state and he's trying to put a cost-comparison together on which location would be most cost effective regarding flight, hotels, and food.
He has the flight information available at work through our corporate reservation system, but it'd be handy if there was a Web site somewhere to find out the least expensive city to visit.
Keep in mind, they are travelling from Denver (except 1 person travelling from Salt Lake and another from Santa Fe)...
These are the places he could go for training...
Chicago
Cininnati
Dallas
Detriot
Houston
Los Angeles
Philadephia
Omaha
Orlando
Atlanta
Boston
New Jersey
St. Louis
Washington DC

There's a US per diem link here for either just meals or meals and lodging:

Omaha and Orlando are likely to be the lowest cost overall. New York will be the highest.

I pegged Omaha too, but hubby said the flights were really expensive from Denver.(whereas I'd expect the hotel and food to be lower--and he could go to CIP!!)
Plus, the airport in Denver is far enough east it's practically in Nebraska already!!
I kinda thought Dallas or St. L would be pretty affordable too.

I agree that Orlando will be less expensive than many...The zillions of hotels and restaurants have to stay competitive..... What month are we talking... makes a dif for FL

If this is for work, why aren't they footing the bill?

It is for work, and they are footing the bill, but we work for total tightwads and his team hates eachother and so he's doing the cost-analysis for his boss so his boss can tell everyone outright where they are going instead of letting individuals choose for themselves.

It would be sometime in Oct or Nov, likely before Thanksgiving.

Nope
Stayin' home with the kiddos and it would likely be mid-week (although I could bring a work laptop with me and work from the hotel room).
I won't outright volunteer him to meet BNrs, but I'm sure he'd entertain the idea, depending on the training schedule.

FYI -- I sell web conferencing and trainings so people don't have to fly to Omaha...
If they are really looking at cost savings that is a solution depending on the training they are doing.
Just an FYI

We work for a telecom company that does that too. It's not really an option in this case because it's training on a vendor software that offers the classes independently of our company.
Also, I worked in teleconferencing for several years for ConferTech before they were bought by Global Crossing. Small world.

I knew them well. They would do some IR calls when I was at PRN. Now I am at InterCall. The new WebEx does great application sharing and software desktop shares...

I remember doing IR calls very, very well!
I've used WebEx a few times with a client I work with called Stellent (they are a content management software vendor) and liked it a lot.
My company uses Raindance now, I believe.
