So, will there be "painted" and "unpainted" sections at the September Phlocking?
Why not?
There's smoking and non smoking...
Hmmm, smoking/non-smoking, inked/non-inked, swimming/non-swimming, clothed/non-clothed, carnivore/vegan, drinking/non-drinking (yeah OK, forget that one) ...... that's gonna be a lot of sections.
Somehow...we all get along..just fine!

I'll put them in the basement with my hula hoop, mood ring, earth shoes and pet rock.
Seriously, I'm over 50 so I don't really give a crap if it's trendy or not. I just got to a point in life where I decided I was going to do things that I wanted to do and not be limited by what I was "supposed" to be doing or what others thought. (Coulda been the mid-life crisis talking.) So I bought a Harley and, by law, if you have a Harley you gotta have a tattoo. So I got one. And then another. And now I'm a total reprobate. But I like the tats, my wife likes 'em (she got one, too) and my kids think I'm nuts (what the hell do they know, they're 20-somethings). We are the people our parents warned us about.
I had a heart attack 2 years ago (early 30's) and went through a mid life crisis. I bought a very fast speed boat, a convertable car and married a early 20's beauty who had a couple of tatoos. I promptly got a tattoo (the one I'd been wanting for years), and am quite happy with it (though I'll never get another, they hurt too bad for me, I'm a wuss). Lovely wife has a tattoo on her belly that has not faired so well with (now) the second pregnancy. Poor little gecko looks like a dragon now.

Here is what I got for my 36th B-Day a couple years ago. I sketched this myself and had the tat artist fine tune it. The E & J on the sails are the first initials of my keets and the A on the right palm is the initial of my wife's name.
Regrets, no. Desire to get more, yes. And as far as to protect from fading I use a heavy sun block when at the beach and the rest of the time it is protected by my clothes.
I've got coastal confessions and a few more, how about you?
I do not have any, nor do I have a desire to have one. If I did, however, it would be on my lower back.
I love them though ... I think they look great and the more the better. I met a guy the other night who had a tat on his head!!
My son-in-law has a bar code on his side about 8" X 6". I asked him what would it say if we scanned him and he said my daughter's name. He also has a celtic cross inbetween his shoulder blades and his wedding ring is a tat (he got it after the wedding).
Please don't ask me about his right upper arm ...
If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before ...
My best friend and his wife both got tattooed rings when they were married over 5 years ago.
I remember bringing up divorce to him and he said it would never happen.
However, as of last week they are divorced and he now calls it his "permanent reminder of a temporary feeling"
