I don't have mine because they're trendy. I got mine because they mean something important to me.CaptainP wrote:What happens if, 5 years from now, it is trendy to NOT have any tattoos? What will everyone do then?

Excuse me for a minute, but is it some Kindergarden holiday that I'm not aware of?Island_Lullaby wrote:only one for right now (on my left shoulder/back) and I don't regret it at all...have had it now for several years

Re: Do you tattoo?
Other...one, but not necessarily done.
I've had mine for...egads.....17 years now...do to being kept out of the sun, use of a decent moisturizer and it's location (ankle/outer leg) it doesn't look like I've had it anywhere near that long!)
I'll get another one if I ever feel as sure about something as I was when I got my first.

Great story and very cool BN nameFastmovinangel wrote:I have one on my hip. A very colorful sun that I got at the Paradise Tattoo Parlor on Stock Island. I wanted it on my 40th birthday but it was on a Tuesday and we were staying in Key West for the remainder of the week in a very private cottage with a very private pool. They told me that I really shouldn't get back into the pool for the remainder of the week. No way that was going to happen. So I made an appointment and went on our way to the airport on Saturday. Bad idea. The flight was delayed, rerouted, etc. and sitting on that tattoo for all those hours didn't feel so hot!! But, alas, that was a few years and a few trips to Key West ago. The tattoo is still as beautiful as the day I got it and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Get another one?!?! I'm not so sure. Although we have become bikers since then!!

If easy is always good and women with tattoos are easy then women with tattoos are good. This negates your previous claim that only bad people get tattoos which by association counters the "tattoos are bad" principle.
Ipso facto .... tattoos are GOOD!

I have been thinking about it for a while and so have 2 of my friends. Well, Friday night while I was slaving away here at work the 2 of them got drunk and went and got tatoos!
Now if I really want to go I have to go by myself!

Holy crap .... I can't believe this thread got resurrected after biting the dust back in October.
And since then I've gotten 2 more tattoos ..... a tiki on my left forearm and a dragorpion (half dragon/half scorpion) on my inner right forearm. And it's just a question of "when" not "if" for the next one. As the Rev. Mike told me when he did the first one, "they don't call them tat-ones".
