I still think we need to hear from Crash...I supppose you can get started....but with no input from our adopted troop we are kinda stuck...just my $.02.....
At this point we don't know who is eating the Halloween candy.....

I agree that we shouldn't go hog wild until we hear for sure. But I think someone else said that we could always find another troop/organization to use the cases if crashes group can't. I'm just afraid of not hearing in time and then we not have a whole lot of time to get them done if we wait. That's just my $.02......

For those looking for cheap tropical fabric, Jo-Ann's is having 50% off all clearance fabric this weekend (which means .50-2.50 a yard), and most of what's on clearance right now is summer fabric, for those looking.

springparrot said that Bill (I think) pm'd or emailed him last week. Not sure if they have heard from him or not. I'm a worry wart so that's the direction I'm leaning towards....

Nothing that I know about, but haven't seen Bill on BN this weekend.

I haven't heard from Crash. I think the best thing to do is move forward with the plans and find another unit as backup.
There are enough folks here with family overseas that we shouldn't have any problems finding troops to support.
If you build it, they will come.
My 2 cents...

My concern is obviously for Crash and that the packages actually got delivered....... they were sent to Crash... and if he is off whereever.... see what I mean...
If we do a Christmas project... where do we send the stuff....?

He got to come home for a bit? Good for him and his family! That's awesome. I wonder where the halloween stuff ended up???

Pssssssssssstttt, think that maybe this could help stuff the pillow cases???
http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41483
not sure if I did that right, but those teddy bears sound like they need a pillow case to call home.......
BTW, is there any way I can send some $$ to help with the shipping? My schedule doesn't let me do much hands on so I'd love to help pay to get some of the boxes over there.... lemme know how, and I'll git-r-done as they say

It's been pretty quiet around here. Since crash is stateside, is everyone ok with finding another troop to support?
Yea or nay - everybody speak up....

I think that would be ok. We did do something for his troops for halloween and maybe we should spread the wealth around a bit. However, is his troop counting on this? Has crash said anything to them? I would hate to disappoint them if he did.
My best friends hubby is over there right now. I think they are due to come home before Christmas. But he might be able to help find a unit that would be in need if needed.
Just my $.02.

Sorry guys, I have been kind of overwhelmed with stuff at home. I did post on the Halloween thread. Radar told me tons of stuff has arrived. I hope you will want to keep supporting my group here. I should be back in Iraq in about 10 days.
Thanks for everything!

Yup! Great to see you again, Crash; and nice to meet you, Davesnik!
Seems we'll have plenty of opportunity to help the troops. Crash is moving to the bigger camp in the Baghdad Green Zone...3,500 troops. So, we'll have plenty of opportunity to make a difference for some folks!
