I have been wearing glasses since I was in 2nd grade. I started wearing contacts when I was 16. Glasses mostly but would love to get contacts back. Would REALLY love to get Lasik done. It would be really nice to see when I wake up....maybe one of these days....

Lynn, I have lost mine a time or two. :D

That's why I now have three pairs!

Have any of you ever taken your glasses off and then couldn't find them? I hate it when that happens! (Not that I had been drankin of anything)
I'm totally like Velma on Scooby Doo when I can't find my glasses...and it would be fun to make out with Daphne.
Yeah, I really hate it when I take them off and DON'T put them where they are supposed to go... I've dropped them in a stream once and had to find Bill to get them cuz I couldn't see them. At least I didn't lose them. :o

As old as I am, I've never lost a pair of glasses. Broken a few playing ball, but never lost them.

Remember that old story about "if you keep doing that, you'll go blind"?
Totally not true. Although by the time I was in my mid-teens I did need glasses.

the pair i lost was actually stolen.

when i lived in MN, a guy at my office and i REALLLLY didn't get a long. his wife babysat my daughter for a while, and she did a really crummy job, so i changed babysitters. he got p*** about it. i took my glasses off at one of the training computers one day, and he snatched them up and rolled over them with his truck (which i learned from a mutual co-worker).

it really sukked because i was really poor then and couldn't afford to replace them, so i spent 6 months not being able to see very well. i didn't have a car at the time, so driving wasn't an issue, but it was a pain.

however, not all was lost, because his wife who watched several people's kids every day had too many kids according to the state law, so when social services paid her a random visit due to a random tip, my heart wasn't broken when her license (which was only pending at that point) was put on suspension.

I have never lost any .. I am rather careless - they usually are on the bed beside me each night - so are at risk of being "rolled on".

However, one year I must have thrown them on the floor, and woke up on Boxing Day (dec 26) a public holiday here, and crunch .... stood on them - and totally flattened them. No spares, and two days till shops were open again .....

Very 8)

I also didn't like this gal because once when I was watching her kids as a favor to them, she told me I could spank them if I needed to. You can imagine how that went.

I'm thinking I'm gonna need glasses soon.
Recently, everytime that I read, after a couple of pages the vision in my left eye gets a little blurry and I find myself squinting.

I wear glasses almost constantly. I have been known to fall asleep wearing them. Tried contacts, but can't wear them. And Lasix cannot solve all of my eye problems so why bother.

My eyes are so bad, my eye doctor wrote me up for a professional journal.

Ditto. :)

Can't/don't wanna wear contacts. I'm a wuss with putting things in my eyes. Took out a small peice of my cornea several years ago when I sneezed while putting on make up. So it's glasses all the way for me.
