Yeah, I really hate it when I take them off and DON'T put them where they are supposed to go...buffettbride wrote:I'm totally like Velma on Scooby Doo when I can't find my glasses...and it would be fun to make out with Daphne.ladyparrothead wrote:I've worn glasses since 6th gradeIt was a wonder to see that trees had leaves
anyway, now I have lineless trifocals - so I can (sometimes) see the tv, puter and read.
Have any of you ever taken your glasses off and then couldn't find them? I hate it when that happens! (Not that I had been drankin of anything)

Remember that old story about "if you keep doing that, you'll go blind"?
Totally not true. Although by the time I was in my mid-teens I did need glasses.

the pair i lost was actually stolen.
when i lived in MN, a guy at my office and i REALLLLY didn't get a long. his wife babysat my daughter for a while, and she did a really crummy job, so i changed babysitters. he got p*** about it. i took my glasses off at one of the training computers one day, and he snatched them up and rolled over them with his truck (which i learned from a mutual co-worker).
it really sukked because i was really poor then and couldn't afford to replace them, so i spent 6 months not being able to see very well. i didn't have a car at the time, so driving wasn't an issue, but it was a pain.
however, not all was lost, because his wife who watched several people's kids every day had too many kids according to the state law, so when social services paid her a random visit due to a random tip, my heart wasn't broken when her license (which was only pending at that point) was put on suspension.

I have never lost any .. I am rather careless - they usually are on the bed beside me each night - so are at risk of being "rolled on".
However, one year I must have thrown them on the floor, and woke up on Boxing Day (dec 26) a public holiday here, and crunch .... stood on them - and totally flattened them. No spares, and two days till shops were open again .....

I also didn't like this gal because once when I was watching her kids as a favor to them, she told me I could spank them if I needed to. You can imagine how that went.

Like when I'm driving somewhere. I never get lost but sometimes I arrive at my destination by an alternate route.tikitatas wrote:Mine don't get "lost" so much as misplaced . . . yeah.
