Hi!!

Are you Guy or Garth??

I can't remember which one of you had which name....anywho! Remember me? Came in with Wayne-o in August?
The only thing I can think of is the time of year?? Too cold for 'em....
....and the 10 day outlook is showing rain and a high of 59-ish....
I totally agree with you though! Vancouver is the way to go....gotta love the great outdoors for a show!
You coming to Portland??

Did you go to the show when it was at the ampitheater in Ridgefield (Vancouver)? Yes, outdoors was great, but the venue was a bit poopy about things. Cutting alcohol sales at 9pm, things of that nature. I know they were doing it to keep things under control so they could keep their liquor license with all the neighbors protesting the loud crowds, but still. I'm sure that's why it's not going to be there. Everyone enjoys an outdoor show, but the artist and crowd definitely have more freedom at the Rose Garden. At least that's my humble opinion.

Do they let you bring your drinks to your seats now?? If I recall.....and I could be totally wrong....but I remembered drinking in closed off "designated drinking areas" the last time I was there to see Jimmy....

I was there.....

I don't remember being cut off at 9 prolly because I was pretty toasted and didn't realize it.

I do remember the parking lot being a bear too.....It was brand new back then....hopefully over the years they'll "break in" and relax a little.

At the Rose Garden, I believe you can bring beer to your seats but not hard liquor. We gots us some backwards A55 rules here in Or-E-Gun. The Oregon Liquor Control Commission won't let you have the hard stuff outside of those fenced in spots.
At Ridgefield, they were litterally pulling down the doors to the alcohol sales to force people to go away and not harrass them for closing early. They started doing this during the intermission. And yes, I'm sure it's better now; after they've been open for a while and the local residents have mellowed out.

Jimmy Buffett was the first Sold Out concert for the Ampitheater 2 years ago.....our club rented "party" greyhound busses for the event so none of us would have to drive.....so we really did not give a rats ass how long it took to get out because we had so much booze on the buses....
But it was pretty messed up and I have a news article that says " Buffett Puts Traffic to the test at the new Amphitheater"....
Where are you from CadiRita....??

Bah ha! Yep, traffic getting out was a load of fun. My husband and I just went to our car, put the seats back and napped for an hour, waiting for traffic to die down. We were still stuck in a pretty substantial line when we started up the engines. Oh, and I loved how they redirected traffic up and around the neighborhoods. We live in Hillsboro, so we then had a nice long drive after that.

So where do you catch the max from the hotel?? Is it pretty obvious??? I guess if nothing else I could follow the crowd and eventually find it.. I am very excited about going.. Last time I saw him in Portland (early ninties) I was not aware of any pre-party....Will there be a problem taking my daughter (six years) to the pre-party up here? She went to the one in Vegas 3 years ago and had a blast there. She is as excited as I am for the night to arrive.

WELCOME!! We'll look forward to seeing you! I wasn't there last time... but I wouldn't think having a 'keet around would be a problem!
Welcome to BN too!

Out of curiosity....
About the PreParty.. I have been in conference with the lovely Ms. Island Hopper and we are deciding if we should wear our concert clothes also to the pre party????
I sorta go overboard... as she does .... for the concert.....
I do believe that I will be wearing my concert duds to both the concert and the pre party...
what are others doing????

sorry..... just another question....
is the rose garden allowing cameras....
Last year in Washington I actually told the truth and was sent back to my car or give up my digital.
I realize you can sneak it in, but.... I will bring my cell phone, but they take crummy pix at 10 seats back.
over and out .. sorry so many posts.
hi Jen.... don't ... oh please don't forget to stop in Albany so we can travel up the I% together... does anyone need transportation... i have lots of room.

yes...wear your costume to the Pre concert party....
you take cameras at your own free will...you may be sent back...you do this at your own risk.....
at the Amphitheater I actually had the guy take the battery out of my camera and I had to wait till the end of the show to get it back....

I always manage to get my camera in....they never seem to find it hiding in my bra.

I usually end up with a few good pics and some video...in San Jose the time before last I was in the 2nd row and got away with a few good pics before that dude with the red eyes shook his head at me.....so I put my camera away so I wouldn't have it taken away.
