Halloween in Maui

I'm going to be on Maui for Halloween. I've heard and read that Halloween in Lahaina is the Mardi Gras of the pacific.
Just wondering if anyone has ever been? Should I bring a costume?

I hear the Lahaina Halloween is a must see/do. Have fun!!
I'll be on the Big Island for Halloween myself. I'm dressing as a tourist.
