Performers Who Have Covered Jimmy

Post by jonesbeach10 »

I know that some performers like Jack Johnson have covered APLAF and others have covered M'Ville. Who else has covered Jimmy?

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

I'm sure there are several, but the two obvious ones that come to mind are Kenny Chesney doing "Come Monday," and Alan Jackson coverine "Margaritaville."

John Frinzi has done a lot of Buffett.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Speaking of Volcano, I know that the comedians Faust & Lewis did a version of this song. It is on their "Live in Put-in-Bay" album.

I've "heard" that Tom Petty covered a Buffett song on a live cd.

*update
I just found out he did "Stories We Could Tell" which was not originally Buffett.

I think you're right about the Tom Petty cover, I don't have the cd's here but I will check where I have them. I knew about Stories We Could Tell.

Todd Snider "Margaritaville"
Willie Nelson "Railroad Lady"

and while it's by no means complete, there's more here at The Covers Project web site:
