I heard this on the FM the other day when they released it, was going to post something and I forgot about it. I really like it too. I can't think of any Garth song that I don't like. Just like my opinion of JB, there are songs that I like more than others. But none that I really don't like. I can't say that about many artists that I like. I used to be a Garth nut! I had all of his albums, including the box set. Been to several of his concerts (pretty close to the front row for 1) and I really like Garth. My dorm room was dripping with Garth about 10+ years ago. It's nice to see him back.

I like the song. Although it's not his best and I think he pushes his voices a little more in some parts than he should, I still dig it. I expect this to be part of the boxed set that's coming out in the next few months. And I wouldn't hold my breath for a tour.

I don't think you can ever believe what he says about anything when it comes to his career. He likes to "fake" us out so to speak. He said he was retired and now look at him, he's back again. It's all about marketing...my humble opinion anyway.

I agree, with "all" being the keyword, this goes for his music too. Just my humble opinion.

I too have a hard time believing anything long term about Garth Brooks. He is amazing at marketing, though. Whether or not you like his music, you've got to admit, he knows how to market a product.

I see that as a detraction, not a reason to like him.

Hey, how about the Cowboy that Garth is singing about. I listened to Chris Ledoux back before anyone other than us "cowpersons" knew who he was. He was an awesome bronc rider, a great artist and a terrific person. He sang about his adventures on the road as a rodeo cowboy, about his life and his loves. He was the JB of the cowboy world. It was really sad to lose him and great of Garth to honor him with a song!
I do it for the stories I can tell!!!

Great song and fitting tribute.
I love all of the Chris Ledoux song references. Sounds like old Garth.

How true!
I work with a big Ledoux fan and he said the same thing to me after hearing a lot of the Buffett I've bombarded him with.

I didn't ask wheter it was a reason to like him or a detraction. I'm just giving credit where credit is due. Garth Brooks can market his music.

Chris LeDoux was one hell of a singer and songwriter.

Just curious though, I've heard it mentioned before, where does it say that JB listened to Chris? I'm not arguing the point, just curious where you got your information from.
