Black Friday

I just realized today when my mom asked me about it, that it's really only a little over a month away.

So do you brave the waves of people first thing, wander out later for the leftovers, or can't even be bothered?

For me, it's an art and a science, and involves 23 of us with cel phones on an audio conference as we brave the crowds before first thing in the morning for the best of the deals. Sounds corny, and in all honesty, I hate shopping, but the comraderie is just so much fun.

Uh, Sy? Is this the Friday after Thanksgiving?? I'm not a shopper whatsoever, and just making sure. :)

I stay far away from all that, the hassle of the crowd is just not fun. I know the sales are huge, but what is your time worth when you have to wait in line for so long or fight some butt hole for the last whatever. It's a good day to relax, assuming you are not one of those who have to work, and enjoy a day off.

I can understand that :) The only person in my family we can't sucker into being part of the whole mess is my dad. He tells us 'someone pick me up when you all go to dinner'. He wouldn't be caught dead out shopping on black friday, though.

No way would I go out shopping on Black Friday. It's OK for others, but I don't like shopping that much anyway....and people seem to be at their worst in crowds like that. I know you can get a lot of sales etc....I'll wish Phin Power to anyone who braves that circus!!!

Yeah, besides, while internet shopping, you can visit p*** sites in between. I never could figure out why they called it a Strip Mall, I have never seen strippers at the strip mall. It's not like they put the Nudey Bar right next to Mervyns or Macy's.
