This is part of an email I received from a trusted source this morning which says tickets will be $200:mrsmcg wrote:Read posts on BuffettNews ... I can't do it, but have the prices come down? They were listed at $610.00 pp. Is that true?
"For you, the info... tix on sale Monday @ 10AM $200, ticketmaster... doors open 6pm show is 8pm on Oct 20th/ Fillmore... Hurricane Katrina relief."
It appears it will be formally announced sometime this morning.

Thanks. I'm not sure if I can make this work but if I go I might as well fly from SF to Vegas for the Oct. 22 show instead of coming home Friday. If I have to take off from work Wed.-Fri. anyway if I go to this one it makes sense to try and fit both of them in.

I took a quick look and the best I found so far was LaGuardia/SF/LAS/JFK for $780. Most other fares are over $1,000.ToplessRideFL wrote:Airfare with less than a week notice usually stinks...as I am finding out trying to get keet home for the phlocking.....LIPH wrote:Thanks. But the tickets for the concert don't go on sale until Monday. I'm not dropping $780 on plane tickets if I don't have a concert ticket and by Monday, with only 2 days to go, I'm sure the airfare will be higher.ToplessRideFL wrote:That isnt bad...consideringLIPH wrote:LaGuardia/SF/LAS/JFK for $780. Use the lowcost airlines. Since it's so close it will still be expensive, but I just looked on Independence Air's website (www.flyi.com), and you can do round trip from JFK for about $450. Better than some of the prices I saw earlier in this thread...

Or you can do a direct flight on Delta Song (www.flysong.com) for about $480. JFK - SF non stop

Get creative on Southwest..... Islip--> San Jose or Oakland, maybe catch a ride to Vegas. Vegas to Islip is tough, but Vegas to Phoenix (or another mid-point), Phoenix to Islip might work.....LIPH wrote:But the tickets for the concert don't go on sale until Monday.
