How about a CRB concert?

I know a while ago we launched an effort to get a private JB concert for BN. For a variety of reasons, that didn't fly.

Does anyone know what the individual BNers charge? How about a day long event featuring PM doing his solo stuff, Mac doing his stuff, Ralph, Amy, and Club Trini. Half-hour - 45 minute sets from each...

I'd pay to see that.

Any thoughts?

Excellent idea! Then JB would probably show up to play( like at MOTM last year) and we wouldn't even have to pay for him!

no.. people would expect Jimmy to show up, and then get really, really bent when he didn't... tho we could (if we were running it), make it look like there was one table, in the back... held in reserve... :D

Three years ago I spoke with Peter's booking manager and the rate was $1000.00 guarantee, plus 10% of the door, plus travel expenses and meals. As the promoter I would have been responsible for the sound equipment, providing a sound person, lighting, insurance as well as the rent for the venue. Given that Salt Lake didn't have a good small to medium venue (250 to 400 seats) at that time that didn't charge an arm and a leg for rental, I passed on the gig.

It wouldn't be so bad if the CRB members were traveling close by and could work the show in as a stopover since that would cut travel costs substantially.

Didn't the CRB open for JImmy on one tour? I want to say it was the Chameleon Caravan Tour.

The National Kidney Foundation of Florida did a fundraiser a few years ago with IslandFest. I have the rider and costs I can dig up and share. It was a great show…the concert opened with Scott Kirby, followed by The Peter Mayer Group, Club Trini and then they all took the stage….

wow! that sounds excellent.
i sent mac's website an email begging him to come and play at the beachcomber in welfleet (cape cod) ma. it is such an awesome spot. (www.thebeachcomber.com )it is right on the big dunes overlooking the ocean. some big acts have played there. they do have private functions and close down the place just for the function, if one wants. however, it would have to take place sometime between may and labor day.

i hope it could happen, some day.
