apparently we have a number of fans of that Brittish group or merry men known as Monty Python. What's your favorite quote or skit?
I always laugh at....He's not dead. He's pining. Pining for the fjords.
And of course there's always spam.
My sons knew the words to I'm a lumberjack and i'm ok. I sleep all night and I work all day probably from too early an age.

I can only say I'm a "casual fan." I never saw it "back in the day" at all. But I've always liked John Cleese-Fawlty Towers is one of my faves! (Did you know that he was recently divorced from the woman who played his wife when they were doing that show?). Hubby grew up on Monty Python, and can recite EVERYTHING. Even *I* loved Life of Brian.
Last year, Eric Idle did a comedy tour and I went to see him. Even with a bunch of Monty Python references with which I was unfamiliar, he was just HYSTERICAL!!!

BTW, cable TV (BBC America channel) is playing TONS of Monty Python on a regular basis.

for some stupid reason - I love the cheese shoppe.
I also love the part of "Holy Grail" where they announce themselves and the lady says "We didn't elect a king."

Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!

At this point, I don't believe so. It's on Broadway until at least next spring, and the tickets are $133 a pop, for all sections of the house. (I jsut called last week.) I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Thanks. If it makes the rounds I told my girlfriend I'd finally take her to a Broadway touring show.

Or you could just hop a cheap flight out of Chi-town and spend a rad weekend in the City. I know a great tropical themed bar in the City.
