I know I am going to get some smart*** answers to this but I will ask it anyways... does anyone know why Jimmy stopped playing at Irvine??? Man, the pre-concert party there was amazing. We had an RV and across from us was Wild-onE! for the E! channel. What happened????

couple reasons..one is speculation.....he is playing bigger venues recently..Wrigley....Fenway et....we were thinking more people, less shows..
Verizon wanted him to share more..read $$ to clean up the parking lot, add security etc. something he apparently was not willing to do....doubt seriously he will be back to Irvine....would not surprise us to see him at Anaheim stadium.....

, the Pond is okay but certainly not Irvine

it seems parrotheads are a sloppy bunch. the vast majority don't seem to know how to pick up after themselves.

I have to agree on the diaster in the parking lot. I was running over all kinds of bottles and junk to get out. Too bad, it used to be an awesome party.

Could not agree more....Irvine has always been the Holy Grail of Buffett Shows our west (Great Woods is the best back east, alas, before the Fenway detour).
It is not the same to have our Tour Bus "FINS BUS" outside the Pond, it belongs at Irvine. My Irvine days started in 1987, but really went wild when I started bringing in my 30' SeaRay "Island Dancer" on a trailer.....nothing like attracting women with a cool boat in a sea of RV's. The boat thing came to an end when I bought a bigger boat that was not trailerable, and Irvive put a stop to boats in the lot.
I think someone speculated the issue is money.....I bet this is the real reason. Clear Channel pushed back last year when acts kept askingf or guranteed gate revenues of 90% and above...leaving them with the food/beer money. This, combined with Buffett's lot costs may have been the reason he moved on.
Irvine Baby...we miss saying it!

Irvine will always be "the place" for many Southlanders...though the Pond serves its purpose, Irvine memories are just simply the best....boy oh boy, the stuff we did......

Irvine is history... Jimmy's outgrown the venue for single-night stop.
The Pond sells out with twice the capacity.
I know that Coors at Chula Vista could gain Irvine Meadows stature if Jimmy
would return during WARMER WEEKEND days of May-June (like he did in the '90's)
rather than chilly Jan. - Oct. weekdays we've been seeing more recently, but...
at this point, I'll take whatever's there!!
