Actually, it is. But the country is called "Vatican City". But it is a nation on its own.

This is definately one of my favorite things!! :D :D I've got a map of the world above my desk and it's dotted with all of the places I've visited. I've been so incredibly fortunate to see, explore, discover and take in so much of the world; this is truly one of my passions. Somehow this matches up with "Far Side of the World" being my favorite Buffett song.

Americas:
Canada (6 provinces)
Mexico (~9 states? including 10 months as an exchange student)
Belize
Gautemala
Costa Rica
Dominican Republic
US Virgin Islands
British Virgin Islands
Puerto Rico
Cayman Islands
Colombia
Venezuela
Ecuador
Brazil
Argentina

Europe/Africa:
Ireland
UK (Wales, England, Scotland)
France
Portugal
Spain
Netherlands
Belgium
Denmark
Sweden
Germany
Switzerland
Austria
Italy
Czech Republic
Slovakia
Poland
Hungary
Greece
Turkey
Egypt

AustralAsia:
Pakistan
Thailand
Malaysia
Cambodia
Vietnam
China
Hong Kong (British Colony and as part of China)
South Korea
Japan
Taiwan
Philippines
Australia

And there's still so much to be done:
Chile
Peru (Machu Piccu)
New Zealand
South Pacific islands
Africa (safari regions, Morocco)
Cuba
Iceland
And other spots.....
"Reading departure signs in some big airport reminds me of the places I've been"

50 countries and territories, 46 states...so far
