But what about mom?
Ok.....so there are a few songs where jimmy makes reference to his father, but i really don't know of a song for his mother ...So it got me to thinking, i must be overlooking something. Anyone know of any or a reason why there isn't any?
Some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way

Yeah, not just in songs either. In books, interviews, etc., I've noticed that he's always talked more about the Buffett side of the family (paternal line) as opposed to his mom's family. When Peets passed away there was a neat essay she'd written about meeting the Captain and then I know on the elevator wall in the NO M'ville there's the .... (I can't remember exactly) 5 life lessons according to Peets Buffett, e.g. "Read and read often, including the classics," etc. Pretty cool stuff. A very wise woman.

Read often, including the classics.
Accept everyone for who they are, not for what they do.
Be well traveled.

Live by the sea.
Listen to your spirit and find joy.
Education, like money, doesn’t make you happy or successful, but it sure helps.
