I have 2 cats in my neighborhood that are evidently homeless. I caught the neighbors feeding them a few times so they feel it purrfectly ok to use my yard as a waiting room for food...and a sleeping area too I am finding out.
One is yellow..... and he has decided that the top of my new car is a cozy place to sleep!
I cannot put my car in the garage as it is filled with 5 sets of golf clubs and 18 coolers and pool toys and whatnot.... so... before Mr. Topless puts down a transmission fluid cocktail for Kitty's happy hour........ any suggestions on how to keep this cat off my car?

I am very serious.... it doesnt blow off..... as I was just reminded of when I went out to my car just now for something..... I guess the fabric of the ragtop is coarse enuf to keep it sticking.
I feel badly for this homeless cat...but he isnt welcome on my $26k car!
I was hoping there is some product to put on there to deter him....without harming the car top or him

Its not the money issue.... its just that I dont want to be running around in a car covered with cat hair.... kinda like using a lint roller on your clothes...ya know? And dont worry.....no one will harm the cat....
So speak up people......

Serously though why dont you just squirt him with the hose everytime he gets up there. Soon he'll probably get sick of that and not get up there anymore.

Dont take it to the vett after it drinks it

There is a product called Grant's Repellent Granules that you can sprinkle on the ground and cats won't cross the area. I've used it before to keep the neighbor's cats out of the flower beds and away from my car. It worked pretty well and not expensive... under $20

I never see him sleeping there..... he must jump off when I open the door.... But his little feet prints on the windshield and the fur are a tell tale sign

that is actually the best idea..most cats hate water..we use a water gun to idscourage them from eyeing up the General, the cockateil..it works, too..
