We get a real-live Cabelas store here in Denver about 10 minutes from my house in the Fall of 2006, and I'm very, very excited. Hubby's gifts for the next gazillion years are gonna come from there.
He and our neighbor are going to campout the night before it opens and tailgate for the opening.

What gave it away?

I got moved around alot growing up, but basically split my childhood between Colorado and Nebraska. Live in Oklahoma City now.
Cabela's is gooooooood stuff. Wish there was one around here (the closest one is in Fort Worth). Might have to make a trip next year to camp out with your husband. I'll bring beer.

Maybe it was Wile E. Coyote....the roadrunner finally got him!!
Thanks Paige!! I really do love it! And it's from Cabelas!!
Hubby also said the Coyote contribution to my coat probably became cat or dog food. How reassuring!

I hope that the Coyote wasn't just used for my coat and at least contributed to some other cause than to keep me warm.
But even if it didn't, I'm still gonna keep the coat!
Coyotes are a menace to sheep ranchers (as are a few BN'rs).......
Your coat probably saved the lives of countless little lambies....

You should do it! That would be such a blast!! Just hop on I-70 and keep drivin' 'til you get to Cabelas! It's just west of Denver in Wheat Ridge.

I'm cool with anything farm/ranch raised, same as a cow or a chicken to me.
Something caught in the wild with a snare or trap really p*** me off!

I don't know that they raise coyotes on farms.. but, there are coyotes living in most major urban areas as part of the food chain.

Fur is soft - it makes you want to pet yourself
Fur is warm.

So if it's raised on a farm, it's more like killing a pet that trusts you rather than a wild animal that didn't get away...
Just throwing out my first thoughts!!!
Stinking animal lover here... yes, I eat meat and I'm wearing a leather belt... lacking principles... I know. I just hate to see animals die... so sue me!
