I hate to tell you but professionally speaking the software that I work on day in and day out does not exist to run on Mac platforms and if you load it up on one of the compatable platforms it just locks up. Something about using software that was written in the early 80's. It runs under the good old DOS prompt. On The Edge wrote:No software issues with Mac, that excuse should be on snopes. The Lost Manatee wrote:I have a PC at home and work for work related reasons. Primarily that the software that I use for work isn't available for use with Apple computers. My daughter has a MAC and really likes it except that she can't get all the same games as her friends.
As for the threat from a virus, it is correct that very few people write them for Macs and Linux machines however that goes back to the issue of software availability which is why many people have PCs rather then a Mac.
BTW, I never got a virus on my Commodore 64 or my Tandy 16 color computer!![]()
