I am all for the oysters! Just don't need any 'basky sauce, or horseradish, or cocktail sauce, or crackers just roast/steam them so they just start to open then give me a shucking knife, some cold beer and watch my carnage! SLURP!!!!

We roast them right out here in the front yard...with the Big Satilla lazing her way East..

I prefer Trappeys Bull Sauce, but also the lemon, and Rockport Red Sauce (yeah, Rockport Texas is where I got the recipe)

Never had them with crackers..shuck them right outta the shell with whatever condiment I'm using at the time...

melted butter with garlic is very good...

I like the slurpy ones, or the other way...

Osyters are great...just anyway..we usually have them by the bushel that way everyone gets their share...

because...sometimes if you're not watching closely....you'll not get your share

definately the time of year I've been waiting for..and they sell them just up the road not over 5 miles from here...fresh...everyday

WooHoo...ain't life grand !!!

Here you go, this place is a hidden Gem in MelroseImage

Best place in Mass for Oysters or Cherrystones. I believe they are based out of Glouchester, you can also go to the downtown Boston location http://www.turnersboston.com/ prob more exopensive than Melrose and no parking.

Squeeze of lemon is good, the other is cover-up
I'm with you. Naked is best. Shells are table-to-mouth conveyances.
(After the second dozen you are allowed a dash of cocktail sauce or Tabasco, cuz the beer may have numbed the tastebuds by then.)
