I can only suggest doing a search for vietnamese cooking or food or cuizine(sp). Or try looking up Vietnamese recipes....

You can learn/memorize or write down what sounds interesting to your taste....after all you know what you like better than anyone else. They have many other foods than the ones you listed.

As long as its dead, I hear snake tastes like chicken.

Reminds me of that line in Good Morning Vietnam

"Is there any food on this street
that doesn't give you diarrhea?"

Yes, snake does taste like chicken.... so does froglegs... remember the French had control ( more or less) of Vietnam for many years.... there are some French influences in the food. They do have some things that are quite edible and taste quite good as well as twice burn food........

Few years ago when I was managing a Pizzeria, we had a nail salon next to us ran by Koreans.

Stupid guy next door came over and asked us if we knew anywhere he could buy a dog to consume.

I told him either get the hell out of my store, or be prepared to be killed with the gun I had under the counter.

The guy never asked us anything again in fear of his life, hell he never even looked straight at us again.

So, you'd be willing to go to prison because a guy, from a different culture, asked a question? Taking a human life, or even threatening to do so, is a bit extreme in my opinion.

I cannot answer for him, but if you asked to buy my dog so you could eat him, what would you expect me to do???
People moved to OUR COUNTRY....they need to learn our ways just as I would expect anyone moving to THEIR COUNTRTY to learn before they move there and adapt accordingly.

You want to eat or hurt my critters...okies be ready to take your chances with your life.....I might go to prison but someone will be taking care of my dog and you won't be around to argue the point. I love my critters and they are my children. How would you feel if someone asked you if you would sell them one of your kids to eat?

SHEESH and BLEEP what an idiotic answer, my dog will give his life for me...should he not expect the same from me???

BTW people eat squirrels and a squirrel is nothing but a bushy tailed tree rat. What is the big deal with eating a mouse? It is only a small rodent/rat.

Two different scenarios - they didn't ask if they could eat ABF's dog, just "anywhere to buy a dog to consume". I stand by my guns, no pun intended, that the simple question doesn't warrant killing a human.

And even if it was my dog, and it was "can I buy your dog to feed my family?" I still don't think it would be enough to kill or threaten someone over. I'd just recommend they not ask that question in America.

I still find your question idiotic, no insult intended if he or she had enough money to buy my dog then he or she has more than enough money to by groceries!
You may find it hard to believe or conceive but A LOT of people love their animals as much as other people love thier children.

You may find it hard to believe what some people will do to protect their children or thier animals......I can assure you it is not worth harming mine to find out.. no matter how inconcievable you may find that concept to be.
Like I said my dog would give his life for me.....why should he expect any less from me??
And also like I said I would do my best to learn about another country before I moved there. It is not accepted practice to eat dogs or cats here.
(Don't believe me.... take it up with the SPCA, The Humane society, and other organizations) Would I go to jail for someone intentionally and willfully and maliciously hurting any of my animals.... try me and find out.
I would take the same stance for a child or any other helpless person.
You may or may not like it, I really do not care,..one thing for sure if more people did show such interest, there would be far less abused children, women , and animals in this world.

Are you sure, are you that sure, you really want to try to eat my dog? Whatever country you may be from.....

I notice you did not answer my question of someone asking you if you would sell them one of your keets so they could eat them..... what would you do? Take it nicely? Take it as a compliment? WHAT?

Sam - take a chill pill dude!

If they came brandishing weapons attempting to take your dog, fine - protect it. But that's not what was described. If you want to go to prison for someone asking you a question, that's not my problem.

I honestly didn't see your keet question the first time around, and now that I do, I think it's a rediculous question.

Can't find a pic, but
Partially formed duck embryos. You eat a fertilized egg with the duck about 80% on its way to being hatched. A real delicacy.

Balut has been featured on Fear Factor on more than one occasion, and it looks extremely difficult to choke down. My husband works with someone who brings them in for lunch occasionally - apparently, they have a VERY objectionable odor, and the visual isn't pretty either. However, the co-worker LOVES them! Go figure! Different cultures, different tastes.

You don't have to like it but you do have deal with the consequences just I will....and do me a favor....PLEASE LEAVE PEOPLE'S POST ALONE, YOU ARE A MODERATOR AND A VOLUNTEER/SELECTEE, NOT A GRAMMAR SPECIALIST. After all if you are going to do such why should anyone post in here since it will only be what you want them to say.... Where is the room for difference of opinions???
I would like to say thank you for ppissing me off and abusing your privs, but I won't bother, since you knowingly and intentionaly went out of of your way to so. May what you seek, May you soon find....
Thank you!

For the record, if anyone reads this and is wondering what you missed, I edited one of Sam's posts in another thread, not for grammar, but for content. It is irrelevant to the discussion in this thread.

Uh, Sam? That's what moderators have to do, sometimes. Edit, delete, ask and hope that pholks will understand our request to undersand what we do is not personal. :-? There are plenty times where we let posts go as far as we think they should, using common sense and manners. Tiki does NOT ever abuse her moderator privilages, but merely follows the guidelines the the owner, PHJim, asks us to follow.
