Assuming you're referring to beverages like Smirnoff Ice, that has nothing to do with distilled spirits (other than the name). These beverages are beers (in the tecnical sense of the word) and Anheuser-Busch already makes quite a few of them (I believe they make the Bacardi and Smirnoff malt beverages).

Margaritaville Ice? I think I'll pass on that one.

Seems like all these "ICE" type drinks taste the same...malty.

I'm don't consume much alcohol but I do like the Smirnoff Ice. I have some in my fridge all the time. I'd at least try it if they do come out with something like that. Esp. the mango flavor!

That's because they are all malt beverages. They are made with a process more similar to beer than distilled spirits.

I know 'cause I have celiac disease and can't have anything with barley (here, barley malt) in it anymore.
