Post by Touch O Parrotdise »

i heard it today and didn't see it mentioned yet.. an awesome song featuring eric clapton..

NEW YORK, NY Friday Oct.21.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Fans of the legendary Bob Marley will want to check out the forthcoming greatest hits album, "Bob Marley & The Wailers -- Africa Unite: the Singles Collection."

Set for release November 8th, the 20-track collection contains the greatest hits by Bob Marley & the Wailers along with a new, previously unheard Bob Marley track called "Slogans," featuring Eric Clapton on guitar.

"Slogans" is the first new official Marley track to be released in over 10 years. It is believed that Marley recorded the song in a Miami bedroom around 1979. The tapes were kept at Marley's mother's house and last year, the reggae legend's sons Stephen and Ziggy revisited the acoustic demo. Stephen and Ziggy produced "Slogans" specifically for this release.

"Africa Unite: the Singles Collection" also includes two new remixes. The song "Africa Unite" was remixed by will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas, while the other new remix is a mash-up of "Get Up, Stand Up Vs. Jamrock." This Ashley Beedle remix blends the Bob Marley classic song with his youngest son Damian Marley's current hit "Welcome To Jamrock."

I posted about it a few weeks ago. Despite all the whining that's gone on here about my music posts I wonder sometimes why I should even bother...
